Motorcycles leave brake dust in the dust

by Gary Whitehurst

Touch of Purple is one of the most unique products on the today due to its versatility. Although Touch of Purple is best known as a super all natural jewelry cleaner, its appeal to car and motorcycle enthusiasts was highlighted in a recent Fox news televised test in the Dallas Metroplex area. This highly popular "Deal or Dud" on Fox 4 news thought a product claiming to work on everything from jewelry to cars, boats, motorcycles, ceiling fans, CD's, glasses and computers was pushing it a bit so they decided to put one of the claims to the test.

Touch of Purple sold at major auto, truck and motorcycle shows around the country from Los Angeles to
New York City and has impressed our customers for several year now. What in the world does it do on vehicles? To begin with, products like Rain X ®, which work very well, increase the molecular tension of surface like glass causing water to run off. Touch of Purple does just the opposite; it lowers molecular tension on solid surfaces allowing deeper cleaning. Under a microscope, metal surfaces like aluminum rims have pits and crevices which trap dirt and brake dust very quickly dulling the finish. Not only is Touch of Purple a great detailer but it also seals those microscopic imperfections in the metals as it dries; so brake dust and grime won't adhere as quickly. In the Fox 4 test, wheels were cleaned by different products including Touch of Purple. Although the products were similar in shine produced on the rims, the big "THUMBS UP IT'S A DEAL" came a week later when the testers re-checked the rims and found the Touch of Purple rims were cleaner with visibly less brake dust accumulation on cars and motorcycles. This can be verified at the FOX 4 website (www.kdfwfox4.com)

Touch of Purple can be used on aluminum, stainless steel, chrome, plastic and will not harm special paint or customer airbrush work. Also, you don't have to re-wax cars or bikes when you detail with Touch of Purple because it DOES NOT strip wax off. Detail in minutes with a spray and buff in the sun or shade. Now gentlemen, don't let your lady get hold of the bottle because it also cleans all her jewelry including opals and pearls without any acid or abrasives better than anything she has ever seen. WE GUARANTEE IT!! Spray CD's and DVD's and buff so they don't skip. No dust on ceiling fan blades for months, anti-static on TV's and computers and we could go on. More details are available in the Cleaning Guide. So all you car, truck, boat and bike owners, try the easy spray and buff application of Touch of Purple and find out for yourselves why Fox 4 said "DEAL"!

Motorcycle Cleaning Made Fun And Easy!

When you have bought your dream motorcycle, you know that you need to properly maintain your bike in order for it to ride and look its best for years to come. Mechanical maintenance is critical to the motorcycle's operation, but making sure it looks good is also important.

Although cleaning a car, truck, or SUV can be a pretty tedious job, washing your own motorcycle can be enjoyable. If you choose, you can have your family members help; you will get the job done more quickly and get to spend time with them. Having a well-washed motorcycle is one way to show pride in your bike, and the only way to do that is to clean and care for it regularly.

Minor cleaning, such as rinsing off mud and dust, should be done on a daily basis. More extensive removal of built-up grime should be undertaken regularly, because such buildups can damage the bike's finish and be much tougher to remove if they have had time to harden. A good cleaning regimen should take just a few minutes a day to keep your bike looking good.

When you start out as a motorcycle owner, get a copy of the owner's manual if at all possible when buying a used bike or when buying new. It will usually have cleaning instructions and may recommend products that the manufacturer prefers. They may not be the cheapest or the best, but they are a starting point.

List everything that you might need. You should consider including a power sprayer for the hose, car or motorcycle shampoo, cloths for cleaning and polishing, and metal polish. Additionally, you might need brushes or sponges and special products to remove the messes you might get into: tar removers, bug cleaner, glass or plastic cleaners. Also, don't forget vinyl and leather cleansers for the saddlebags and seats.

That may seem like a lot of money to pay out, but one container will last much longer than it would if you were cleaning a car, because a motorcycle has much less surface area. Cleaning a bike becomes much easier if you have everything you need stored in a single place in one convenient storage box.

A motorcycle gleaming like it is just off the lot is a marvelous thing to behold. Everything looks pristine, the metal has that perfect glint, the tires are free of dirt and road debris, and the seat is practically begging for a ride. Despite the hard work of getting to this state, there is much pleasure in seeing these types of results.

When you clean, you also want to lube your chains and any other area that needs this. Check fluid levels and give the bike a once over to look for minor problems. Using a really good wax or surface protection product really makes daily cleaning a lot simpler as minor stuff will rinse off easily.

New motorcycle owners should begin by finding the owners manual for their specific machine's make and model. If it isn't still with the bike, they are often available at libraries or online. This will have important information about the manufacturer's approved products for cleaning and maintaining your bike. While it may seem expensive, a bike, being smaller than a car, will require less, so that a single container goes a long way and you won't need to use as much. Cleaning is less of a chore and a lot more enjoyable if you keep your supplies organized in a handy container.
